It's a constant reminder
I can't become like you
Give into the pressure
It's something I'll never do
A constant struggle,
A fire that will never be put out.
Life's endless war against
The self you can't live without.
This rope has grown thin
I've grasped for far too long
But I know in the end,
We won't be singing the same song
As hatred has gotten to you,
It's shown in all you do
I fear it every day
I can't let it get to me
One of the most well-respected straight-edge hardcore bands ever to come out of the DC scene. Connor is quite a talented hardcore musician, playing vocals for Protester, playing drums for DC crossover thrashers Red Death, and also playing very awesome on guitar for these guys from Line of Sight. They've also put out a 7-inch EP on Youngblood Records called Dissent that I've been wanting to get my hands on so bad, in case you guys haven't heard. tjjaxx4625
The Minneapolis band add a horn section, a running surrealist allegory about walls, and an occasional nod to the elegiac to their electroshocked post-punk. Bandcamp Album of the Day Mar 4, 2024
